Matter certification statistics
MatterCatalog lists 1,899 Matter certified product models from 327 brands, carrying 1,841 distinct CSA certificates. 690 of them (36%) have a store link we verified for the exact model on a US store. Across the whole CSA ledger, 5,988 product models were newly certified in the 12 months to Sep 2026 (the ledger as we read it on , the same read our monthly certification reports use).
Apart from the ledger figures, these numbers describe the certified models in our catalog, not every certificate the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) has issued. A model counts as certified when its product page answers "Is it Matter certified?" with yes: a CSA certificate matched to that model. Every number is computed from the catalog when the site is built. Data as of .

Certified models by Matter network
The network the product record states. Thread devices need a Thread border router. "Ethernet" means the record lists a wired connection (mostly hubs and bridges). "Not confirmed" means the record does not state Thread or Wi-Fi in a way we have verified: a bare "Wi-Fi" from an import is not counted as Wi-Fi.

New Matter certifications per month
Product models first certified on the CSA's Distributed Compliance Ledger in each of the 24 full months before we read the whole ledger on Oct 19, 2026: every vendor, not only products we list. A model is one vendor ID and product ID on the ledger, counted in the month of its first certification. In the 12 months to Sep 2026, 5,988 models were newly certified, up from 2,811 in the 12 months before (+113%). The CSA's website lists some certificates that are not on the ledger, so these counts are a floor.

Listed on MatterCatalog counts the month's models whose certificate is on a product we list, and with a verified US store link those of them we can link to a US store for the exact model. These two columns describe our catalog, not the market: its bulk import from the ledger dates from Feb 24, 2026, and models certified since then are added in reviewed batches, so recent months have fewer matches.

How many certified models list each smart home platform (the platforms shown on the product page, from the maker's or store's compatibility list). A model can list several. 848 list all four; 597 list none, which does not mean they are incompatible: it means no platform is stated on the record.

These are its totals as we read the whole ledger on Oct 19, 2026, and how many of its certified models we list. The CSA's website lists some certificates that are not on the ledger.
