Does Wemo work with Matter?
No (as of October 19, 2026): the CSA’s Matter certification ledger lists 0 certified Wemo products (searched: Wemo and Belkin). On the Wemo pages we read, it works in part with Apple Home; does not work with Google Home or Alexa. For a Matter smart plug instead, we list 55 smart plugs with a CSA certificate and a US store link, such as Eve Energy Smart Plug (US/CA), Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug Slim with Energy Monitoring (KP125M) and TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug Mini; see our Matter smart plug guide.
Data as of October 19, 2026: the CSA ledger, read that day, holds 12,615 certified models from 483 vendors. The Wemo pages were read October 19, 2026. Page updated October 28, 2026.
Wemo and Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa
What Wemo's own pages say, platform by platform. “Google Home” covers statements about the Google Home app and Google Assistant. “Not stated” means the pages we read do not say; we never guess.
| Platform | Works with Wemo? | What the page says | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Home | Partly | Belkin says Thread-enabled Wemo devices keep working through Apple HomeKit. | belkin.com (read Oct 19, 2026) |
| Google Home | No | Belkin says remote access and voice assistant integrations stop working when the Wemo cloud service shuts down on January 31, 2026. | belkin.com (read Oct 19, 2026) |
| Alexa | No | Belkin says remote access and voice assistant integrations stop working when the Wemo cloud service shuts down on January 31, 2026. | belkin.com (read Oct 19, 2026) |
Matter is a separate question: Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa can each control devices that carry a CSA Matter certificate. A brand can work with all three through its own app link and still have no Matter-certified product. See Apple Home vs Google Home vs Alexa for Matter.

How we checked
The CSA's Distributed Compliance Ledger is the public record of Matter certification. We read it on Oct 19, 2026 and searched its 12,615 certified models for Wemo: a whole word equal to “Wemo” or “Belkin” in the vendor name or the certified product name. That found 0 certified models.
A “No” here means no certified product under that name on that date. It says nothing about the brand's plans, and we do not predict them. The page reads the ledger again each time the site's ledger data is refreshed, so it changes by itself when a certificate appears. To look up any model yourself, use the Matter certification checker, or see the Wemo card on the brand-by-brand list.
