Is it Matter certified?

Type a brand, model or part number to search the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) certification ledger, the official record of Matter certifications. A match shows the certificate ID and date, the device type, network, Matter version and software versions. No match means the ledger does not list the product under that name.

What this counts: all 12,615 product models with a Matter certificate on the CSA ledger as read October 19, 2026, from 483 companies and for every market, not only the US. One model is one vendor ID and product ID; certifications of software on its own (the ledger's software components) are left out, the same rule as our monthly certification reports.

What Matter certification means

The CSA, the standards body behind Matter, records certified products on its Distributed Compliance Ledger (DCL), the ledger this page searches. In the CSA's words: “Once a product has been certified and is in the market, that product will be listed in the DCL.” Each ledger record names one model (a vendor ID and product ID) and one software version, with its certificate ID and date.

The CSA also says: “Only Matter-certified devices will carry the Matter logo, so look for the mark that matters.”

What a certificate does not tell you

  • Which apps it works with. The ledger has no field for Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa or SmartThings; the maker's page says which platforms it supports.
  • Where it is sold, or for how much. The ledger has no store or price information, and regional versions are separate models: Eve Energy (Europe) and Eve Energy (U.S. & Canada) each have their own certificates.
  • Which software a unit in the box runs. A certificate covers the software versions listed with it; it does not verify the firmware installed on a retail unit.
  • Whether an older product will get Matter. In the CSA's words: “Whether a device is updated to support Matter depends on the technical capabilities of the device, and of course, whether the product maker chooses to make an update available.”

“Certified” and “compatible” are different claims: Matter certified vs Matter compatible. To check a product page or a store listing step by step, use how to verify Matter certification.

How to read a result

Certificate and date
The CSA certificate ID and the date of its earliest certified record, newest first. A linked ID opens the CSA's own page for that certificate (from the CSA's certified product listing, read October 19, 2026).
Device type
The type on the ledger's model record; when it has none, the type on the CSA's listing.
Network
Thread, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, from the certification records. Bluetooth, which Matter uses only for setup, is left out.
Matter version and software version
The Matter specification version and the software version on each certification record, as the maker registered them.
On MatterCatalog
Our page for a product that carries that certificate, when we list one.

Where the data comes from

The CSA's Distributed Compliance Ledger, read in full on October 19, 2026: the same read our monthly reports, certification statistics and open data count from, so they give the same totals. The search index (about 292 KB) downloads once, when you first use the search box; searching happens in your browser. It is rebuilt when we read the ledger again.
